Since my last post about the A's, they beat the
Mets (again!) to set up a final Picnic Day matchup against the undefeated Dodgers! Families, friends and supporters of all kinds showed up to root for the boys in the final game. Tyler's mom, Jess and Holly made the sign below with all the kids names on it! Ella and Cora and Tyler's sister Hannah cheered with Carrie's pom-poms!

Some of the cheering squad thought of new ways to use the pom-poms.

It was a needlessly long battle to even get Peter on the A's. But boy are we glad it worked out that he could play.
THANKS to Al and Anne LaPerle, members of the LL of Randolph Board for working so hard to help Peter. Not only did Peter get to play, but he couldn't have asked for a better TEAM to end up on. All the boys are good sports and play hard.
Cal Poulin, the Head Coach, has two sons on the team and encourages the boys with a good mix of fun and hard work. He also has a few trick plays up his sleeve. Peter really lucked out!

The Dodgers were undefeated and had already beat the A's three times. They were seeded #1 and the A's were seeded #5, winning only 1 game in the regular season against the playoff contenders. The A's played hard and well, and kept it close until the Dodgers had break-out innings in the 3rd and 4th. The A's lost 11-0 in a shortened 4 inning game. Congratulations to the Dodgers and to the A's on great seasons.
